The National Honor Society (NHS) teamed up with the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) to make tissue paper flowers to adorn spring baskets. The following week, members of NHS made over 40 spring baskets that were donated to the Rydal Park Nursing Home. The residents and staff at Rydal Park were so happy and grateful for this act of kindness from our scholars! We are #AbingtonProud #ASHSProud #FirstinActivities

We would like to thank Nicole Suanlarm and our own Peter Suanlarm for coming in and speaking to us about culinary arts and what it’s like to own your own business. It was interesting to learn how much work and dedication go into both cooking and running a successful business.
One of the biggest challenges you mentioned was deciding who to hire, since having the right team can make or break a business. Your insight gave us a better understanding of the real-world responsibilities behind the scenes, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us.

We would like to give a huge thanks to Dr. Theresa Austria, the manager of academic programs and training at Fox Chase Cancer Center, for visiting Abington Senior High School and talking to our students about her career. In her position, she leads research programs and helps students with hands-on experiences. Austria's question-and-answer session was helpful, insightful, and very inspiring for our students. We hope to see her again. Thank you so much, Dr. Theresa Austria!

This past weekend, on Saturday, Abington senior Mckenzy Wade held an art exhibition and pop-up shop for interested students. Mckenzy, Anastasia Baranovskaya, YuLee Murphy, Chelsea Fang, and Donnie Plano showed their work at the Rockledge Community Center.
The students displayed extraordinary pieces from their portfolios, along with those of other students. Not only did the artists sell their art, but they also raised money for the Abington Senior High art programs.
Also, a huge thanks to Mckenzy's family for coming out and helping set up the event and support the artists. Way to go!
