We kicked off the week with Mindfulness Monday, reminding everyone to pause, breathe, and think before reacting — because peace truly starts within. 💭✨

Members of our amazing Art Department created a giant peace sign where students are sharing words and phrases that represent peace on colorful sticky notes.

On Friday, October 24, our Fashion & Textiles and Apparel Construction students took their first trip to Hobby Lobby of the semester! A mix of three classes—across two levels of sewing—headed out to select fabric for their upcoming projects.
Before the trip, students created detailed project plans, measuring, calculating yardage, and estimating total costs based on fabric type and price. At the store, they gained hands-on experience choosing materials and learning how to properly engage with associates at the fabric counter.
This semester tradition is always a highlight—and we can’t wait to see the final creations!
