Open House at Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN) in Willow Grove is Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to see how EASTERN can give students a competitive edge in college or in a specialized career program. At the Open House, parents and students will learn how EASTERN students can earn college credits while still in high school through dual enrollment and articulation agreements. The Open House also offers an opportunity to hear from EASTERN instructors on the hands-on learning environment that complements students’ high school academics. Many special activities in EASTERN’s career programs are scheduled, and college and military representatives will be on site.

The ASHS Chorale is ready to serenade throughout the day on Thursday,
Feb 12 (A Day) for Valentine’s Day! If you are interested in sending
someone a Valentine’s Day gram this year, they are $3 each and they
are on sale until Tuesday, Feb 10. Chorale students will be selling grams outside the
cafeterias from Feb 3-10, and Faculty and Staff only can fill out a form to order a gram.

On Wednesday night, the Concert Choir held a very successful Open Mic Night fundraiser in Cafe C, featuring 20 acts of solo singers and small groups. The students promoted the event, sold tickets and concessions, decorated, and ran a very successful show, which raised money for their upcoming Hershey Park trip in May. Congratulations to ASHS Senior YuLee Murphy, whose large-scale screen print titled "Fish Braids" was chosen to be included in the "Threaded Currents" joint exhibition between the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia.

YuLee created this work of art when they participated in the Fabric Workshop High School Internship Program. The exhibition runs from January 22 to April 12 at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts Museum. We are #AbingtonProud #ASHSProud #FirstintheArts
