We would like to extend our thanks to Juliet Lodewick, who visited the senior high school to share her thoughts and experiences about her career. As she collaborated with her mother, Kathleen Lodewick, she provided a relatable and understanding perspective amongst our students due to her recent graduation. She also gave important advice on what classes were best to take in preparation for this field and the upcoming schooling they would face. We hope to see her again soon. Thank you! Thank you, Ms. Kayla Nolan, postpartum nurse, for coming to speak to our students. She explained that the most important quality in a nurse is strong critical thinking skills because situations can change very quickly, and nurses need to make smart decisions in the moment. Students were engaged, and we can't wait to welcome back Ms. Nolan next year!

On Tuesday, April 14th, Ms. Roher, Mr. Penderghest, and 52 of their students in the Genocide, Holocaust, and Crimes against Humanity dual enrollment course visited our partners at Congregation Keneseth Israel's Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center to commemorate Holocaust Remembrance Day. The students were able to experience a 360-degree multimedia mobile immersive exhibit featuring a replica cattle car exhibit sponsored by Hate Ends Now and to tour the exhibits from the Holocaust in the museum. The exhibit focuses on the importance of empathy and recognizing the humanity of all people. The students enjoyed the opportunity to commemorate the pain of the past while celebrating the resilience of the human spirit.

If you are interested in learning more about the exhibit, please follow the link: https://www.hateendsnow.org/
