ASD will open following the two-hour delay, as previously planned and communicated last night. Thank you for your patience as we reassessed road and sidewalk conditions following the overnight snowfall.

To ensure a safer commute for our staff and students traveling during the early morning hours, all Abington School District Schools will open on a two-hour delay tomorrow, February 12, 2025. Please be reminded that students should report to their bus stops or schools 2 hours later than their usually scheduled time. The YMCA will not provide morning care. Check your email for more information.

On Monday, February 10th, students from Abington Senior High School's Spanish level 3 classes were accompanied by Ms. Mirabal and Ms. Salas-Wert on a cultural trip to El Flaco's Dance Studio in Jenkintown and Las Bugambilias in Old City Philadelphia. Students learned how to dance Salsa and enjoyed a delicious meal at the restaurant. What a great way to start the week after watching the Eagles win the Super Bowl! #AbingtonProud #ASHSProud #firstinacademics

In anticipation of this evening’s inclement weather, all after-school activities in Abington School District will be canceled out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our students and staff. The YMCA’s after-school program will remain open.
Please note that tonight’s meeting of the Board of School Directors will now be held virtually. Members of the public interested in viewing the proceedings can do so via the Abington School District YouTube Channel, beginning at 7:30 p.m.: https://www.youtube.com/AbingtonSchoolDistrict/live
Public comment will be conducted via phone. Please watch the livestream for directions on how to call into the meeting.

On Wednesday, Jan 29, over 30 students from Concert Choir entertained the crowd in Caf C for their annual Open Mic Night fundraiser. Attendees enjoyed snack concessions while enjoying students performing solo and small group performances of everything from Broadway showtunes to Taylor Swift to Alicia Keyes. Students accompanied themselves on guitar and piano and managed concessions, ticket sales, and decorations. Great job, Concert Choir!

On Thursday, Abington Senior High School's National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society teamed up to make fidget toys to donate to the Victim Services Center of Montgomery County.
