Congratulations to the spring sports teams, athletes and coaches who were honored at last night's meeting of the Board of School Directors. #ASDProud #ASDAthletics

We were #ASDProud to have had Dr. Alice Swift and Abington Senior High School students represent the District at the Remembrance Ceremony of the 80th anniversary of D-Day last week at the Edward R. Micciolo War Memorial Park on Old York Road.

We are #ASDProud that Abington Senior High School was again designated as a "No Place for Hate" school by the Anti-Defamation League for the 2023-2024 school year. This year, the ADL trained a group of students at the high school, as well as teachers Ms. Sandler Ligi and Ms. Katz, to be Anti-Bias Peer Trainers. These students have now become the school's No Place for Hate Committee, and are already planning events for next year, including turn-around training for a new batch of student leaders!

Happy Pride Month! We support our Abington School District LGBTQIA+ community during this meaningful month about the importance of equality and acceptance. Our Abington Middle School students will celebrate with a Pride Month Party later today. Also, come visit our Abington Senior High School students at their table during tonight's community Pride Fest event at the @abingtonlibrary! #ASDProud

Congratulations to the Abington Senior High School Class of 2024! #ASDProud #ASHS2024

Less than a week to go until the Class of 2024 graduates! We were #ASDProud to celebrate the future plans of our students during Decision Day last week!

REMINDER: Abington Schools are taking part in the PA School Climate surveys provided by The Pennsylvania Department of Education. Parents and guardians are invited to complete the parent/guardian version of the surveys no later than Friday! Check your email for the link, or contact your school's principal to have it resent to you.

Today, we remember and honor the brave.

Today we celebrated the students who will be completing their time in the ACTIVE Academy, and wished them the best in their next chapter. Additionally, this morning's breakfast was a chance to thank our many community partners in our area, as well as our first group of ASHS student interns! Thank you for providing meaningful community-based learning experiences for our ACTIVE students! #ASDProud #ACTIVEAcademy

Thank you to our @abingtonsrhigh parents and guardians who joined Dr. Swift last night to review the status of the goals of her 90-day entry plan since becoming Principal at the end of January. #ASDProud

The ASHS Jazz Band, Orchestra, and Choirs traveled to Hershey Park on Friday, May 17, to compete in the annual Music in the Parks Festival. They also enjoyed a day at the park to celebrate the year's accomplishments. We are pleased to announce that all three ensembles earned first place in their respective categories, with ratings of excellent and superior. Additionally, Sophomore Winette Assaye was awarded "best student piano accompanist." We are so proud of our musicians at ASHS!

Earlier today, Dr. Fecher met with a group of students at Abington Senior High School for a Table Talk, where they shared what they like best about their school and offered suggestions for what could be improved. #ASDProud

On Monday night, 5/13, the ASHS student-run A Cappella group, the Abingtones, put on an all a cappella concert in the black box theater. The house was packed and it was a huge success!

Thank you to Holocaust survivor, Ronnie Breslow, who spoke with students at Abington Senior High School yesterday on the 85th anniversary of her journey as a passenger on the SS St. Louis.
