Last Friday Overlook students celebrated Field Day by working together cooperatively to compete against their opponent. It was a close competition, but white edged out red for the victory! As always, a special shout out goes to Ms. Early for planning an awesome day!
Last week, English-learners and their families joined us for the annual ELD Family Engagement Night, where they were able to be connected to resources and learn about the curriculum for grades K-12. #ASDProud

Introducing a new way for parents/guardians to track their student's bus ride to/from school! The Zonar MyView app utilizes GPS to provide parents/guardians with notifications as to when their student's bus is approaching school in the morning or their stop in the afternoon. At Overlook and Willow Hill elementary schools, students and staff celebrated Black History Month with a visit from award-winning author and historian, Ms. Alice Faye Duncan, whose nationally acclaimed books combine historical research with poetry and music as a means of introducing children to the efforts of Civil Rights icons, such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, Blues legend BB King, and Olympic champion Willie B. Overlook Elementary welcomed author Alice Faye Duncan on Friday, February 6! Ms. Duncan thoroughly entertained Overlook students & staff with story telling from her books containing positive uplifting messages of tolerance, compassion, and perseverance.
