Ms. Dorothy Kalkbrenner (Ms. Dottie) is retiring after 47 years of being a crossing guard. Today Highland had an assembly to celebrate and thank her.

Our Abington Senior High School Class of 2024 is getting ready to graduate! Yesterday they returned to their old elementary schools for the annual Grad Walk, and then came back to campus to celebrate together at the Senior BBQ. #ASDProud #ASHS2024

At last night's meeting of the Board of School Directors, the Teaching and Learning Department presented the 2024 Mathematics Achievement Awards, which recognize elementary and middle school students for their accomplishments in the Pennsylvania Statistics Poster Competition, the Mathematical Olympiads and the Continental Mathematics League Competition. On Wednesday, April 17th, Highland celebrated our school's different cultures in the annual Diversity Fair and Potluck. Families were invited to set up a table about their heritage, and students were able to get passport stamps as they learned about different places in the world. Courtyard Dancers, a troupe that celebrates traditional Indian dance, held a performance, and everyone was able to partake in different dishes brought by the attendees.

We are grateful to receive more than $9,500 from @Giant as part of the 2024 #FeedingSchoolKids initiative! Every dollar contributed by local Giant shoppers will be used by our Student Services Department to purchase grocery giftcards for our families in need. #EliminatingHunger
