Highland's performance of Frozen was held this past week. We are so proud of our students in fourth and fifth grade who participated in the show. We also want to thank all of our parent volunteers for their dedication to making this show such a success!
REMINDER: The Abington School District team of home and school visitors is partnering with High Focus Treatment Centers to bring a Health & Wellness Fair to the Abington School District. Students participated in Highland's Virtual Math Week. Some students received a reward for finding the closest estimation!




Highland had their One Book One School assembly last week. The book this year is The Chocolate Touch written by Patrick Skene Carling. Every class in the school will read the book together and students have the chance to answer trivia questions about each chapter!





Due to the inclement weather, all Abington School District schools and offices will be closed today, February 13, 2024. As this is our third emergency closure due to weather, there will be no instruction for students.

All Abington School District schools will open on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, January 17. Students are to report to their bus stops or schools two hours later than their usually scheduled time. The YMCA will not provide morning care.

Abington School District schools and offices will be closed today, January 16, 2024. As a reminder, this first closure will be observed as a traditional emergency closing day for students and staff, which means there will be no instruction.

Highland Elementary honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with our Peace Assembly. Students shared quotes, participated in a sing along, and listened to a read aloud from our teachers and staff. In addition to that, our Kindergarten students sang a song about peace.

Highland Library challenged readers to read in different ways, like wearing cozy socks or by a fire. Winners received a sweet smelling bookmark for their next read!
