Thank you to our teachers and staff, students, parents/guardians and community members who joined us for this afternoon's meeting of the Bullying Prevention Committee! #ASDProud

At Copper Beech, the Principal's Anti-Bullying Committee meets once per month. Students from grades three through five participate in this committee, along with the Principal, Assistant Principal, Counselor, and School Psychologist. We work together to encourage desired behavior, brainstorm ways that we can create a positive school experience, and hear our fellow students' voices and ideas with the goal of creating a welcoming school space where all students can feel included and welcome. The students who participate in this committee take anti-bullying very seriously and work to put their ideas into action to make Copper Beech a wonderful place to be!

Information regarding Abington School District's procedures in the event of inclement weather was emailed to all parents/guardians today. Read the information on our website: https://www.abingtonsd.org/article/1370629

This week schools nationwide celebrate National School Psychology Week to highlight the critical work school psychologists do to help students thrive. This is a time to recognize and show appreciation for our school psychologists, who support students' learning and mental and behavioral health, promote positive and inclusive school climates, serve on school safety and crisis teams, and collaborate with families, teachers, and administrators to improve student outcomes. #ASDProud #OneASD #SchoolPsychWeek

REMINDER: The Arts in ASD parent/guardian group meets again tonight at 7pm. This meeting will be held in the library at Abington Middle School (above the main office entrance). The meeting is open to any parents/guardians of students in grades K-12.

It's officially the month of November, which means it's time for students to be introduced to a new theme from the Abington Pledge of Character! This month's character theme is RESPONSIBILITY, with students pledging to be responsible for their actions.

At Tuesday's Board meeting, Dr. Matthew Harris, Supervisor of Fine Arts, and Abington School District art teachers, curated the 2023-2024 Abington School District Art Exhibit in the Administration Building, and recognized the students who have created wonderful pieces of artwork and dedicated them to the building.
