Congratulations to all of our athletes who competed at today's annual Elementary Track Meet at Schwarzman Stadium! This event serves as another opportunity for our 4th and 5th graders to gather with their peers from the other elementary schools before they transition to the Middle School, all while engaging in a day of friendly competition.
CB rocked the competition at the annual track meet. Both the gold and green team showed their skills on the field. We are so proud of them all! GO CB!

Today was the first meeting of the school year for the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council, in which two representatives from each school routinely meet with Dr. Fecher and Dr. Melchor to share their thoughts and experiences from across the district. Dr. Fecher also gave the students an assignment to go to their peers and ask for any feedback that should be brought to the next council meeting. #ASDProud

Fall buddy activities are the best! Mrs. Cashman's second grade class spent time with Mrs. McGettigan's kindergarten class talking about some Fall Pumpkin Math.

Copper Beech Elementary kindergarteners learned about fire prevention during a visit from Weldon Fire Company, while Overlook students enjoyed a demonstration by the Abington Fire Company, both in recognition of Fire Prevention Month. #ASDProud #SafetyFirstinASD

For Fire Safety & Prevention week, local Firefighters came to visit CB kindergarten students! They learned about fire safety, got to try on some gear, and even got to check out a real fire truck!

Calling all readers! The ASD Reads! poster campaign is expanding for the 2025-2026 school year, and we want to feature our students' love of reading on social media! Email a photo of your student either reading, or posing with, their favorite book to CR@abington.k12.pa.us. Please include their name, school, and the book's title, which we will feature on ASD social media channels as their very own ASD Reads! comic-book-style poster. #ASDReads #ASDProud
