Hello artists! For those who have signed up for the art club this year, we will have our first meeting on Wednesday, January 8th.
Reminder: This is only for students who have signed up this year via the google forms on the art club google classroom. Please meet at 3:10 at the art room you signed up for. Ms. Webber's in C51: 2D Design, Mr. Mckeough's in S6: Sculpture, Ms. Nguyen's in C59: Ceramics. Doors will close by 3:15 and attendance will be checked. Art club will run until 4:10. Activity buses will be available at 4:15. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Webber, Mr. Mckeough, or Ms. Nguyen.
Today Ms. Moskowitz & her 7th graders participated in a stimulus and response lab. We were able to calculate reaction time and see how our body responded to different stimulus. There was lots of laughter (and yard sticks hitting the floor)😂😂
Now through March 31, everyone who shops at the GIANT on Susquehanna Road in Roslyn will be invited to “round up” at the register and donate the round-up amount of their bill to support Feeding School Kids. Customers can also give by converting their CHOICE Rewards Points to donations in the GIANT app, or by purchasing a reusable bag.
At the end of March, all round-up donations will be tallied and donated to Abington School District. Donations have been used by the Student Services Department to purchase GIANT gift cards that are distributed by our social workers directly to our families in need in order to help supplement the cost of their groceries.
Thank you to GIANT and our local families for feeding families in our community!

In a recent lab 6th grade scientists measured the kinetic energy of wind up cars and investigated how adding mass changes the amount of energy it has.

Themes for next week's Winter Break Spirit Week!
The Builders Club will be selling Candy Cane Grams all week long before school in the science wing lobby. For just one dollar, you can send your friend a candy cane and a positive message. All proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Make-A-Wish helps provide wishes for critically ill children and teens.
6th grade science students learned about how work and power are connected during a recent lab. They measured how much work it was to carry a backpack up the stairs and how changes in their walking speed changed the power they produced.
Winter is coming! Inclement weather procedures for the 2024-2025 school year have been emailed to parents/guardians and teachers and staff. Please familiarize yourself with our plans in the event weather conditions warrant an early dismissal, late arrival or school closure.
Ms. Moskowitz & her seventh graders are learning about human body systems. Today, they observed cells and tissues under the microscope. They looked at long tissue, bone, tissue, nerve tissue, and cardiac muscle tissue!
