The AMS ℑ𝔫𝔮𝔲𝔦𝔯𝔢𝔯 (school newspaper) is looking for all journalists, photographers, videographers interested in "spreading the good news" of our amazing school!

If interested, ask your teacher for a pass TODAY, SEPTEMBER 16 during ADVISORY to come to ROOM 347!

7th grade boys soccer will hold an interest meeting on Wednesday, September 17th after school in room 110. The meeting will end in time for the kids to make the 4:15 buses. Tryouts for 7th grade boys soccer will be on 9/22, 25 & 26th from 3:15 to 5:00.

Today we honor the victims, survivors, and heroic first responders of September 11, 2001.

Are you a fan of DND or fantasy and adventure media such as The Legend of Zelda, Percy Jackson, Owl House, Gravity Falls, or Arcane? If you've ever been interested in creating your own fantasy world, then the brand new Tabletop RPG club is for you! This club is a place to play role playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons and meet new friends with similar interests.

We'll be holding our first interest meeting Wednesday, September 10 after school in room C100.

Have you thought about joining a club this year? Then you should consider joining TADA, which stands for Teens Against Drugs and Alcohol. We hold fun activities such as a Karaoke Dance, an Extravaganza Carnival, a Movie Night, take trips to Bowling & TopGolf, and more throughout the school year! You can have a great time and meet fellow students interested in living a drug-free life. To join TADA, you must follow TWO steps:

1.) Join the TADA Google Classroom with code: jibbxhfn

AND

2.) Fill out the Google Form on the "Classwork" page of the TADA Google Classroom.

Students in all three grades can join TADA, but hurry because sign-ups end Friday, September 26th! See Mr. Sandler in Room 363A, Mr. Durand in Room 217, or Ms. O'Connor in Rooms 321 & 324 if you have any questions.

Field Hockey has an interest meeting on 9/9 in room 134

8th grade girl's soccer has an interest meeting on Monday, September 8 at 3:15 in room 324.

7th and 8th grade volleyball will hold an interest meeting on Monday 9/8 from 3:00-4:00 in the Main Gym.

Tryouts will be Wednesday 9/10, Thursday 9/11, and Friday 9/12 from 3:00- 5:00 in the Main Gym.

You must have your PIAA form turned in in order to participate in tryouts.

Please attend the interest meeting on Monday after school if you are interested in trying out.

Over 120 7th and 8th graders finished 2 days of training this week to become this year’s WEB leaders. They are excited and ready to make a difference in our school. Starting on Tuesday with 6th grade orientation!

WEB stands for Where Everybody Belongs and is an organization at AMS that implements the 6th grade orientation day and mentoring throughout the year. Many thanks to the parents who helped out with the student training!

Henry Szerlag (incoming AMS 6th grader) and sister Alexis (future Overlook 3rd grader) enjoyed a weekend in New Brunswick, Canada, celebrating their great-grandmother's 90th birthday! They loved tubing, jet skiing, pier jumping and fishing on the St. John River. #SummerinASD

Sadie Collier, rising 8th grader at AMS, qualified for and rode her pony, Chunky Monkey, in the national competition, Pony Finals, which took place last week in Lexington, KY! She trains year round at Bopegan Farm in Fort Washington, PA. #SummerinASD

Jacob Vazquez is heading to 8th grade at Abington Middle School, but not before hiking through Arizona and Colorado! His trip included a visit to Bearizona, where he got to watch bears in a lake. #SummerinASD

REMINDER: Skyward student and family access will be closed through noon on Wednesday, Aug. 20 as we prepare for the 2025-2026 school year. During the closure, Skyward will be accessible for registration purposes only.
