This is the LAST week to guarantee your order for an AMS Yearbook! To get some excitement geared up for the yearbook, we will be hosting a "DISPLAY THE DECADES DAY" on Friday, February 2. Students and staff are invited to dress from their favorite decade! Prizes will be awarded to students.

Our next School Beautification Meeting will be on Tuesday, January 30th in room C59. We will meet from 3-4pm.
REMINDER: The next Arts in ASD parent/guardian group meeting is Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 7pm in the AMS Little Theater. The meeting will focus on the visual arts with a presentation from Dr. Matthew Harris and Ms. Nicole Caracciolo, Curriculum Lead for K-12 Art. #ArtsinASD
We are saddened to share that one of our Abington Middle School science teachers, Mr. Paul Sharp, who is also an alumnus, lost his home in a fire yesterday. Thankfully, no one was hurt, though the next few days and weeks will undoubtedly be challenging for Mr. Sharp and his family.

Ms. Spike and Ms. Shangle's class hand-made candles today! Students helped to melt the wax, insert the wicks in the jars, thread the wick through the wooden stick to help the wick stay in place, and pour the melted wax into the jars as the final touch. They had a great time smelling the scents that were added to the candle wax. Look at their creations!

Art Club begins this week on Wednesday from 3:00-4:15.
Students should plan to show up on the first day ready for our large group yearbook photo under the flags near the gym.
Make sure you know how you are getting home: activity bus, parent pick up by the Little Theater, or walking.

7th Grade Dance is January 12th from 6:30 to 8:00PM in the AMS Gym.

Students must be in their appropriate Commons in order to purchase tickets.
