#SummerinASD: Annaleia and Sheileen Thompson, entering kindergarten and 1st grade at Highland Elementary, road tripped with their family to Orlando, Florida for their first Disney World experience!

Jessica Jaglal (upcoming AMS 6th grader) and her sister, Olivia (entering 4th at Willow Hill), visited Old Faithful Geyser at Yellow Stone National Park and witnessed its spectacular eruption! They also visited Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota. #SummerinASD



#SummerinASD: Maeve and Jude Love, entering 1st and 3rd grades at Copper Beech Elementary, had fun on the roller coasters and eating LOTS of chocolate at Hershey Park! They also kayaked down the Little Miami River in Ohio.


Rydal Elementary future 4th grader Ava Sanchez visited San Francisco to catch the U.S. Women's National Soccer team play against Wales for their World Cup send off! She also saw the Golden Gate Bridge and toured the Computer History Museum. #SummerinASD




#SummerinASD: Mark and Eloise Green, upcoming 1st and 3rd graders at Rydal Elementary, had fun exploring London this summer. Mark is pictured by the Tower Bridge in London, while Eloise took in the view of the city from the London Eye.



#SummerinASD: Aubrey and Richie Anthony (entering 3rd and kindergarten at Copper Beech) and Nathan and Sophia Roach (entering 2nd and kindergarten at Overlook) attended a Kidz Bop concert this summer, followed by a Meet and Greet!

#SummerinASD: Joseph Baker (rising 8th grader, AMS) and his brothers, Jaxson and Jason (entering 4th and 2nd grades, Rydal Elementary), spent July 4th in West Virginia. They toured a coal mine in Beckley and enjoyed the spectacular view from Grandview at New River Gorge National Park.


Danny McGinn, rising Senior High 10th grader, and his sister Abby, entering 3rd grade at McKinley Elementary, spent a week in Florida hunting for shark teeth fossils and enjoying the water! #SummerinASD


#SummerinASD: Morgan and Jocelyn Gillette (entering grade 9, ASHS, and grade 6, AMS) with their sister Riley (upcoming 3rd grader at Copper Beech Elementary), enjoyed the beautiful landscape of the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.

The McKinley Elementary garden brought a bountiful harvest of colorful blooms this year, and an abundance of sweet summer strawberries! Students enjoyed the fruits of their labor, and learned about caring for their plantings and about the ecosystem of their garden pond. #SummerinASD




Isabelle and Everett Groves, entering 2nd grade and kindergarten at Roslyn Elementary, hiked to the summit of Hawksbill Mountain in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. #SummerinASD


#SummerinASD: Willow Hill Elementary rising 5th grader London Green took the Auto Train down to Florida for two weeks! The first stop was Fort Myers to visit her cousins, then onto Disney World and Animal Kingdom for the first time ever!



#SummerinASD: Nick and Alex Boscaino (entering grade 8 at AMS, grade 3 at Copper Beech) visited the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh. They learned about ancient Egypt and saw gems, minerals, and dinosaurs, including the first T. Rex specimen ever discovered.
