Willow Hill Elementary School hosted cartoonist Jamar Nicholas last week, who spoke to 4th and 5th graders. Students had a chance to hear how he became a cartoonist, draw with him, and have a meet and greet as well! #ASDProud
Last week, Overlook hosted Holocaust Survivor George Marcus. 5th graders were captivated by Mr. Marcus' incredible story of how he & his family were able to escape Germany at the outbreak of the Holocaust.

Last week, the ASHS student-run A Cappella group, the Abingtones, performed a standing-room only concert in the Black Box Theater. The student-run group meets regularly during Lunch & Learn to coordinate voice and choreography, and even performed earlier that day at Lafayette Redeemer Senior Center. #ASDProud #ArtsinASD

At Tuesday's Board meeting, Dr. Fecher and Board Vice President Dr. Melissa Mowry recognized Board President Mrs. Shameeka Browne on being named a winner in the Champion of Equity - District Leadership category of the second annual Excellence in Equity Awards program for educators, presented by the American Consortium for Equity in Education.
