Yesterday, @abingtonsrhigh commemorated the 85th anniversary of Kristallnacht with a visit from Holocaust survivor Pete Stern, on behalf of the Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center (HAMEC). Mr. Stern spoke with students enrolled in the high school's Holocaust, Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity classes.

REMINDER: The Arts in ASD parent/guardian group meets again tonight at 7pm. This meeting will be held in the library at Abington Middle School (above the main office entrance). The meeting is open to any parents/guardians of students in grades K-12.

Earlier this month, students from the ASHS Chorale (taught by Ms. Wolf) and Advanced Acting (taught by Ms. Whitman) traveled to the PA Renaissance Faire! Chorale competed against 20 other area schools in the music competition, performing a 16th century madrigal, and placed in the top 5, while Advanced Acting students got to hone their skills at an improv workshop. Students also enjoyed spending the day exploring the faire and interacting with professional actors while in period costume. #ASDProud #ArtsinAsD






As part of their Micro Internship, students in Mr. Daubenspeck's Data Analytics class ventured to Ernst & Young Hoboken office on Oct 20. Students were able to meet with members of the firm’s Forensics team and continue to develop their skills with Excel, constructing Pivot tables from public data on public safety from Abington Police Department. It’s the second year in a row for these visits. Thank you to Abington Alum, Matt Magida ’03 for making this partnership possible!
