A warm welcome to new ASHS Principal, Dr. Alice Swift! Dr. Swift attended a meet and greet last night for parents and guardians, and had an opportunity to meet with staff again this morning before school started. Dr. Swift then began her first official school day as principal by greeting buses as students arrived to school. #ASDProud #WeAreASHS
The Royal Breakfast fundraiser for the Class of 2024 was a royal hit! More than 250 kids came to meet their favorite princes and princesses, and participate in face-painting, crafts and more. Thank you to our student volunteers for making the morning magical! #ASDProud #ASHS2024
Abington Senior High School hosted a Healthcare focused Career Event on Thursday, January 25 and Friday, January 26th. Throughout the course of these two days approximately thirty Healthcare Industry Professionals were able to share their career journeys with over 300 students in small group settings.
During these sessions, and all Career Pathway Events at ASHS, Industry Partners are able to:
🤝Share their professional journeys: Talk about their career path, educational background, and any personal experiences that have shaped them.
🤝Discuss their industry: Provide insights into the industry they work in, its current trends, and potential career opportunities within it.
🤝Engage in Q&A sessions: Answer questions from our students, who are eager to learn from their experiences.
🤝Offer advice: Provide guidance on skills, qualifications, and steps our students can take to pursue a career in their field.
🤝Network with students: Interact with students during breaks and after the event to provide further information and build connections.

Please join us on Friday, January 26th for the 50th Anniversary of the Abington High School State Championship win, featuring the 1974 Abington state champion basketball team. They brought home the win after beating Peabody High School, final score of 53 to 48. These men are an outstanding example of the Ghosts legacy. As we honor these incredible men let us reminisce, reconnect, and revel in the memories that forged the path to this amazing accomplishment. Together, let’s commemorate the teamwork and dedication that led to the state championship 5 decades ago.
This week, Mr. Kennedy's Law students held a mock trial to exercise skills they learned in class in a case, People vs. Larson. Students were able to use their prowess to examine/cross examine witnesses and finalize their case. Congratulations to all involved! #ASDStudents
