Congratulations to all who participated in the May 4th Girls on the Run 5K! Girls on the Run inspires individuals of all abilities to discover, build, and grow their self-confidence. At the end of each season, volunteer coaches facilitate the completion of a Community Impact Project and a 5K, providing a tangible sense of accomplishment and setting a confident mindset into motion. #ASDProud





Last Week's Family Engagement Night provided an opportunity for families of students enrolled in English Language Development courses to connect with ASD teachers and administrators, as well as community partners. #ASDProud

McKinley Elementary 4th & 5th graders in Ms. Zar's art classes are creating house magnets, which will be available for a $3 donation, to support Homes For Our Troops. The mission of the non-profit organization is to build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. #ASDProud #ASDServiceLearning

Last month, students attended Distracted Driving awareness sessions as part of the Arrive Alive program at Abington Senior High School. Students were distracted in numerous ways by members of the Red Cross Club, while trying to focus on the task that they were given. #ArriveAlive

Family and Consumer Science students at Abington Middle School partnered with Copper Beech, Willow Hill, and Overlook Elementary Schools for the 8th Grade Monster Project. Kindergarteners designed the monsters, which were then created by the FCS students. #ASDProud

Roslyn Elementary received the Rookie Award at the 2024 Best Buddies Friendship Walk on Sunday. They raised $4,265 dollars to help shape a more inclusive world! Roslyn extends sincere gratitude to the teachers, members, and families who supported this event. #ASDProud
