
On Friday, Roslyn Elementary School hosted a March Out Cancer Walk in collaboration with the Sunshine Committee's "Pennies for Patients" fundraiser. Each student was given a luminary bag and glow stick to dedicate to anyone who may be battling or affected by cancer. #ASDProud

Members of the National Junior Honor Society at Abington Middle School returned to Overlook Elementary School last week to share the personalized children’s books that they made for their kindergarten buddies. Each kindergartener received a book from their NJHS buddy that was made just for them and featured some of their favorite things, as well as, the sight words that they are learning. This was a wonderful culminating event that encouraged a love of reading, a love of learning, and lasting memories for all students involved. #ASDProud

Winter's not over yet! ASHS and the Class of 2023 were Freezin' for a Reason today to support @specialolympicspennsylvania. Eleven staff members dared to sign up to potentially "take the plunge," and students donated $2 each to vote to soak a staff member in freezing cold water. Ms. DiMaria’s kindergarten class at McKinley Elementary School created stuffed animals that were sent to Abington Middle School to be stuffed and sewn together by students in Ms. Cantwell’s Family and Consumer Sciences classes. Copper Beech Elementary School just concluded their last chess club meeting with members of the @abingtonsrhigh Chess Team. They were very valuable partners who were patient and kind, teaching and helping the younger students along in their games. #ASDProud



Congratulations to Rohan Gonzalez, grade 7, who took first place in the Abington Middle School Geography Bee. Initially developed by the National Geographic Society to promote geographic knowledge among young people in the U.S., the GeoBee tradition has continued with our AMS geography students who compete by answering trivia questions about U.S. and World Geography. One winning student from each class advanced to the overall competition held in the library. #ASDProud











The @abingtonsrhigh garden club is exhibiting for the 16th year at the @phsgardening Philadelphia Flower Show. This year’s theme is "garden electric," and the students are exhibiting in the interiorscapes class, “Sweatpants Not Included," where they were challenged to create a home office.
The members of the Garden Club chose to create a playroom, because play is the work of the child. They titled their exhibit, “WORK IS PLAY IS WORK". #ASDProud #FlowerShow





Congratulations to our @abingtonsrhigh orchestra students on their many recent accomplishments! Kaileb Kim, 12th grade violin; Kiran Anderson, 10th grade violin; and Alexander Hilliard, 9th grade viola, participated in the PMEA District 11 Orchestra Festival hosted by Perkiomen Valley School District. Kaileb and Kiran will go on to represent Abington at Region VI Orchestra, to be held at Bayard Rustin High School later this week.
Additionally, last month, Eugene Lim, 10th grade trumpet, represented Abington at the PMEA District 11 Band Festival hosted by Central Bucks School District, and River Hoffman, 12th grade Tenor 1, represented Abington at the PMEA Region 6 Choir Festival, held at West Chester University.
