Members of the National Junior Honor Society at Abington Middle School returned to Overlook Elementary School last week to share the personalized children’s books that they made for their kindergarten buddies. Each kindergartener received a book from their NJHS buddy that was made just for them and featured some of their favorite things, as well as, the sight words that they are learning. This was a wonderful culminating event that encouraged a love of reading, a love of learning, and lasting memories for all students involved. #ASDProud

Congratulations to Rohan Gonzalez, grade 7, who took first place in the Abington Middle School Geography Bee. Initially developed by the National Geographic Society to promote geographic knowledge among young people in the U.S., the GeoBee tradition has continued with our AMS geography students who compete by answering trivia questions about U.S. and World Geography. The @abingtonsrhigh garden club is exhibiting for the 16th year at the @phsgardening Philadelphia Flower Show. This year’s theme is "garden electric," and the students are exhibiting in the interiorscapes class, “Sweatpants Not Included," where they were challenged to create a home office. The members of the Garden Club chose to create a playroom, because play is the work of the child. They titled their exhibit, “WORK IS PLAY IS WORK". #ASDProud #FlowerShow
