
Ahead of last night's meeting of the Board of School Directors, the Innovative Instruction Committee hosted a showcase in the new Innovation Incubator at Abington Senior High School. Overlook Elementary's 5th Grade classes held their 12th annual Wax Museum last week! Upon the conclusion of their research paper, students prepared speeches, costumes and displays, as they "came to life" as wax characters for the younger students, faculty and guests. #ASDProud

#ASDProud: A group of 8th grade students at Abington Middle School recently elected to spend their lunches reading a book called "A Most Beautiful Thing" with their school counselors, Ms. Haynes and Ms. Adam. Yesterday, the author, Arshay Cooper, joined the group for a virtual Q&A, where students could ask about the book that is a moving true story about Cooper's life growing up on Chicago’s West side, and involvement in the formation of the nation's first all-black high school rowing team.
