At Tuesday's meeting of the Board of School Directors, Dr. Fecher and Dr. Mowry recognized Ms. Selina Wu, the inaugural Student School Board Member, for serving in the role for the 2024-2025 school year.

To close out the 2024-2025 school year, Overlook held a new event, the "Prevent the Summer Slide Resource Fair" for K-2 students. Families received a free summer workbook and chose free books to read throughout the summer. The @abingtonlibrary was present to enroll families in their summer reading programs and provide information about virtual field trips and free museum days in the Philadelphia area. Students and guardians also had the opportunity to log into their i-Ready paths to continue learning over the summer. The night was a huge success! #ASDProud #ASDReads

Harry Kull and Nate Quigley, future seniors at Abington Senior High, enjoyed their first day of summer on a fishing adventure! #SummerinASD

The Quilting Club at @abingtonsrhigh worked through the final hours of the school year to sew 15 quilts for the Physical Therapy Department at @jeffersonhealthabington, which will be used in the rehab gym. Club sponsor Ms. Carmina Vanassche dropped the quilts off to the grateful staff last week! #ASDProud #ASDServiceLearning

FLASHBACK FRIDAY: As we prepare to celebrate our seniors next week, take a look back at the Class of 2025 at the first-ever CommUNITY Day in 2019. The event was initially created for 6th graders as a transitional activity, based on feedback Dr. Fecher received from students who indicated that they wanted more opportunities to meet and interact with their peers at other elementary school buildings. CommUNITY Day is now an annual Abington School District tradition! #ASDProud #ASHS2025
