Key Club:

PING PONG: Attention all students and staff interested in PING PONG. We will be holding a Ping Pong tournament this year leading up to the March Madness selection Sunday. Any current Abington High School Student or Teacher is welcome to participate. Games for the tournament will start Monday 2/16 and will take place during lunch and learn in the gym based on student availability over the course of the following 3 weeks. The Championship Game will be played in front of the whole school at a mini pep rally held during lunch and learn on Friday March 13th. If you would like to enter the tournament please see Mr. Pitkow in room C-241 on B days or in the Gym Area on A days for information on how to sign up.

KEY CLUB:

1) Need to get rid of some books lying around your house and begin your spring cleaning early? Key Club's annual book drive will start on Monday, February 2nd and run through Friday, March 27th. Bring in your gently used books for ages 0 through 12 and collect service hours: 1 hour per 5 books. Books can be dropped off in Mrs. Peters room A132 or Miss DeGregorio's room C120. Last year we donated over 3,000 books to the Mitzvah Circle! Can we surpass that this year?

2) Attention all Key Club board members & officers: our monthly board meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 24th in C120 during Learn 1. Please make sure you attend!

3) Copper Beech is having their second Winter Bash on Friday, February 20th. Information and sign-ups are posted to the Key Club google classroom page. You can accrue 5 service hours for this extremely fun event! If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Peters in A132 or Miss DeGregorio in C120.

Attention students of all grades: The class of 2026 is hosting a night out with the Philadelphia 76ers and all grades are welcome to purchase tickets. This game will be at the Wells Fargo Center on Monday March 23, 2026. The Philadelphia 76ers will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder at 7pm. Tickets are $60 and include a 200 level seat, a 76ers rally towel, early access to watch the players warm-up (5:30pm access), and our name on the jumbotron! Seniors are welcome to bring their families. Tickets will only be sold through 2/12. If you would like to purchase tickets, please do so from Ms. Colon in C-216 or Ms. Greiner in C-209, no later than 2/12. We accept cash or checks made out to Abington Senior High School.

AbingThon is having a fundraiser at Union Jacks in Glenside on Thursday, February 12th from 5 - 9 pm. 15% of the "in-house" sales will come back to AbingThon. Please come out and enjoy some gooo food for us!

CARNIVAL EVENT: Next Thursday, February 12th, AbingThon is hosting a recruitment carnival in the LGI during lunch and learn. The LGI (Room A207 and A209) will be closed to lunch students on that day. We will have games, prizes, and some light snacks, and are hoping to get lots of signups for our big event. Please sign up so you can attend this event.
