Rydal's first annual Spelling Bee was a huge success! Students in grades 3-5 participated in Scripps National Spelling Bee Competition. Rydal did a fantastic job participating in the MLK Sock Roll Challenge! Students across the school were challenged to donate socks, granola bars, and packs of crackers to be rolled up by the student council and 5th grade volunteers. The sock rolls are being donated to people around the community who are experiencing homelessness to bring some warmth, comfort, and nourishment to those in need! Way to go Rydal!

The student council at Rydal held their annual food drive last week! Students in grades K-5 worked together all week to bring in items that could be donated to a local food bank. At the end of the week, student council members organized and counted all of the food that was collected. In total 1,346 items will be going to the Jenkintown Food Cupboard thanks to the donations from the Rydal community!
