"Special Olympics is a global movement of people creating a new world of inclusion and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability. We are helping to make the world a better, healthier and more joyful place—one athlete, one volunteer, one family member at a time." Hatboro Horsham hosted Montgomery County's Special Olympics 2024. McKinley had 14 athletes compete in grades 2nd to 5th grade. All 14 students were champions and had a wonderful day celebrating with Abington School District alongside other neighborhood districts. Congratulations to our first year athletes!

Our Vibe and Imagine Club collaborated with the Philadelphia Zoo and participated in the Unless Contest, a project-based learning experience that inspires real-world action to save endangered animals. We have been selected as a finalist in the contest with over 400 participating students from over 40 schools. Our School can still help by sending in their cling plastic for the bins in our lobby. We are hoping to recycle over 1,000 lbs to help save endangered animals. We will use the plastic to turn into a bench for our school. We will be collecting until June 7th.
