UPDATE: Unfortunately, due to limited registrations, it is necessary to postpone this event to a future date.
Community organizations and local mental health experts will lead a discussion about mental health and wellness among our area’s youth and young adults, including how to identify signs of distress, how to support them in maintaining healthy mindsets, what you can do to help during times of a mental health crisis, and social-emotional resources that are available right in our own backyards. The free event is sponsored by the Abington Community Taskforce (ACT) in partnership with Citizens and Police Together (CAPT) and Penn State Abington.

Please be reminded that Skyward student and family access portals will be unavailable on Tuesday, September 23 and Wednesday, September 24, for scheduled IT infrastructure maintenance. As an age-appropriate lesson on 9/11 for some of our youngest learners in Abington School District, elementary schools focused on the themes of community and heroism today. In Mr. Hudson's 1st grade Explorations class at McKinley, this involved making thank you cards for our local firefighters.
