We are proud that all nine Abington School District schools were among the 68 schools statewide to have been recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Education for completing last year’s Governor’s Breakfast Challenge! The goal of the challenge was to increase student participation in school breakfast, which is free for all students. Abington’s schools were recognized for our commitment and contribution to child nutrition and the education of students. Special thanks to our Chartwells team for their partnership in this effort to ensure students are well-fed before their school day begins! #ASDProud

💚 Start With Hello Week! 💚

Last week, CB celebrated the power of a simple “hello!” Our students are learning that small acts of kindness and inclusion can make a big difference. From greeting someone new to inviting others to join in, we’re working together to make sure everyone feels seen, welcomed, and included.

Let’s spread kindness, and make connections!

Yesterday was the Opening Day for the 2026-2027 school year and the theme "All In for All Students", focused on equity and inclusion. All ASD teachers and support staff were welcomed back with a presentation from keynote speaker, Katie Jameson, whose session, "Side by Side", provided a comparative look at inclusion through two different lenses in the same education system, based on her experiences as a mom of twins -- one of whom has Down Syndrome and Autism. Afterward, school teams broke out into reflective circles to discuss what they learned and how it can be applied to their classrooms. Later in the afternoon, the Montgomery County Department of School Safety and Abington Township Police Department provided safety and security training to all attendees. #ASDProud #OneASD #Back2SchoolASD
