I hope you and your loved ones are having a wonderful, relaxing summer!
While back-to-school time isn't here quite yet, we all know how quickly the remaining weeks of summer can fly by. To help your family begin preparing and planning for the upcoming school year, we wanted to share a few helpful resources and initial details early. Please keep an eye out for more detailed updates, including classroom assignments and final scheduling details, which will be sent out in late August.

|  | Copper Beech Administrative Team | | | Below you will find some helpful information and resources to help you and your family prepare for the 2026-27 school year. Please do not hesitate to contact our administrative team with any questions you may have.
Classroom Assignments: Abington School District uses Skyward, a student information system, to send you important information and emergency announcements. In addition, Skyward’s Family Access Portal houses information regarding students’ attendance, grades, schedules, etc. Skyward will reopen for family access later this summer. You will be notified when Skyward opens so you may access this information. New families will be provided with login information so they may access their child's portal. You will find out your classroom assignment and teacher at this time.
First Day of School Information: The first student day for K-5 is Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Children may begin arriving at 8:30 a.m. Please do not worry if your child is not sure where to go on the first day. Teachers will be on the playground to greet our incoming students. Teachers will be positioned on the blacktop with a sign indicating their name and grade-level assignment to greet our Copper Beech Cougars. There will also be staff outside to help students find their teacher and classroom line-up spot. Our school day begins at 8:50 AM.

Copper Beech School Calendar- Here is an early copy of our planned events for this upcoming school year. We are excited to welcome many families to our fun events at Copper Beech, and we are grateful to our PTA, who work very hard to plan inclusive events where families and students can get to know one another outside of the school day. Please know that these events may be subject to change and some new events may be added throughout the school year.
