School IDs are needed to attend.
If you need a new ID please bring $8.00 to Ms. Pam in the 8th grade office.
Students CANNOT leave the dance without an adult.
Mrs. Burke's social studies classes presented their Greek shield projects in class this week. Students could earn extra credit points if they dressed as their Greek god or goddess.
After a multi-year planning process, at the January 28 meeting of the Board of School Directors, the Board voted unanimously to put a $285 million Abington Middle School investment plan on the ballot during the primary election. Eligible voters in Abington Township and the Borough of Rockledge will vote on the plan on Tuesday, May 20.

This past weekend the wrestling team took 3rd place at the Spartan Invitational tournament. We had three Champions: Jaxon Foley, Gabe Duarte, and Johnny Whaley. In addition, we had two 2nd-place, three 3rd-place, and four 4th-place finishers.
Today, Dr. Fecher and Dr. Melchor hosted the second meeting for the 2024-2025 school year of the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council. The meeting included Chartwells staff members, Ms. Chenille Traylor, Director, and Mr. T.J. Gaetano, Executive Chef. The students had an opportunity to provide feedback and discuss suggestions they had for food service in their school cafeterias. #ASDProud

UPDATE: The Board of School Directors took a key step forward in its planning process for the future of Abington Middle School. After reviewing community survey results and assessing research and independent analysis, the Board expressed a desire to pursue a plan to build one new middle school on the current campus. The District will now prepare a resolution to fund this project through a referendum, which would be voted on by Abington Township and Borough of Rockledge residents. The Board will review and vote on this resolution at the January 28 meeting of the Board of School Directors. AMS Best Buddies had their first meeting on Monday! Students engaged in a variety of activities to get to know each other. Our next meeting will be on Thursday, February 20th and we will work with the Dance Team to learn some new moves! It's not too late to join! In 6th grade students are learning about kinetic and potential energy and used what they learned during an egg drop contest before winter break. This is a classic physics activity that challenges students to collaborate in teams and use the engineering process. Not all the eggs survived but everyone had fun learning!!
