Today was the first meeting of the school year for the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council, in which two representatives from each school routinely meet with Dr. Fecher and Dr. Melchor to share their thoughts and experiences from across the district. Dr. Fecher also gave the students an assignment to go to their peers and ask for any feedback that should be brought to the next council meeting. #ASDProud

Dancing, games, food and friends made for a fun time for all at 6th grade activity night. Thank you to the PTO for helping make this night memorable. The 360 photo booth was fire, gift card raffles, and the new quiet sensory room they sponsored made the event accessible and enjoyable for all. Additional thanks to the parents that volunteered their time and families that donated food to help make this event a success!!

At a recent Going Green Club meeting students learned how to split perennial plants like irises and day lilies and planted them in one of the gardens by the school entrance. It’s a great way to expand a garden without spending any additional money. Next meeting is on Thursday 10/16. We will be going outside and learning how to do nature journaling and press leaves.
