Today’s book of the day is Iron River by Daniel Acosta. When twelve-year-old Manny Maldonado and his friends find a homeless person's body near the train tracks that run through their tight-knit San Gabriel valley community, a police officer tries to pin the murder on them.

Arrival and Dismissal
Car Riders
Pick up and drop off is in the Little Theater Parking Lot. For families who will be driving students to school, we ask that you pull up as far as possible during drop off to allow a maximum number of cars to drop off. There will be a staff member directing traffic when you arrive.
Please drop off your student after 7:35 AM. The drop off area and access in and out of the campus does slow down as traffic increases closer to 8:00 AM. Please do not drop off students at the Main Office Entrance, unless a student is late to school. We ask for your patience and careful driving on campus.
Walkers
Should enter/exit the building through the Science Wing or the Little Theater. Students should not enter the building through the Main Office entrance.

Please encourage your students to ask for help if they are having a problem with their lockers. All students should be using the school issued lock on both their everyday and gym lockers for safety reasons. Locks are not to be brought from home and will be removed.

The AMS Library is open after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays until 4pm. Come by and enjoy a quiet place to relax and study.

The AMS Writer's club will have its first meeting on October 6 in room M-3 from 3:00-4:00 pm. Students who are interested should join the google classroom 5urspbnx and sign up before the first meeting.

This is a reminder that this is the LAST WEEK to sign up for TADA and get invited to participate in all our events this year! To join TADA, you must follow TWO steps:
1.) Join the TADA Google Classroom with code: poxrcn2g
AND
2.) Fill out the TADA Signup Google Form on the "Classwork" page of the TADA Google Classroom.
Currently, TADA has A LOT of students in the Google Classroom who have NOT submitted the TADA signup form. You are NOT signed up for TADA unless you fill out the signup form, so please complete the TADA signup Google Form by this Friday, September 25th!
