Dear Rising 6th and 7th Grade Students,
Do YOU have what it takes to become a WEB Leader?
WHAT IS WEB? WEB is an orientation program to welcome our 6th graders to Abington Middle School. As our middle school experts, you have wisdom, knowledge, and experience to share with our newest students. You, along with other 7th and 8th graders, will be trained in how to mentor 6th grade students throughout the 2026-2027 school year.
THE IMPORTANT DATES (WEB Leaders MUST attend all dates listed below - no exceptions)
WEB Leader Interview - Tuesday, May 26 (during school)
Spring Play Day - Wednesday, June 3 (during school)
2-Day WEB Leader Training - Wednesday, August 26 and Thursday, August 27
6th Grade Orientation Day - Tuesday, September 8
First Day of School for Everyone - Wednesday, September 9

Our book for today is called A stone in my hand, by Cathryn Clinton. Eleven-year-old Malaak and her family are affected by the violence in Gaza between Jews and Palestinians when first her father disappears and then her older brother is drawn to an extremist group.
