Spring Sports Interest Meeting -
Any students interested in trying out for 8th Grade Baseball must join the Google classroom with code: 4prb4tzr and plan to attend the informational meeting on Friday, March 13th in the Little Theatre during advisory. All players must be fully cleared through planet HS before trying out for the team on March 23rd, 24th, and 25th 3 to 5 PM. Any questions, please Email Coach Cawley.

In the silly book Sebastian Dark: Prince of Fools, the lord of Laughter, the Monarch of Mirth–if only the bumbling 17-year-old Sebastian Darke could be a successful jester like his father. The problem is Sebastian is not funny. But after his father’s death, with no choice but to beg in the streets, the half-human, half-elf teen sets off with Max, his father’s pet Buffalope, to offer his services as a jester to King Septimus of Keladon. On the way they meet a fierce fighter. The three rescue the fair princess Kerin and happily escort her home. If only Sebastian knew the kidnapping was engineered by the evil King Septimus! Attention everyone interested in boys/girls track this season: Please remember to pick up your student athlete agreement from room 147, 351, or 356. Your signed agreement is due by Wednesday March 11, along with your PlanetHS clearing and printed marking period 3 grades.
Boys' tryouts will be March 16 and 18, and girls' tryouts will be March 17 and 19. All forms must be submitted to room 147 or 351 by March 11 in order to try out.

Reading Olympics members...the last meeting before the competition will be on Tuesday, March 10th, in the library. Please keep reading your books!

On April 10, the GSA is observing the Day of Silence to protest the oppression of LGTBQ+ voices and their allies. If you are interested in participating, sign up through the link in the AMS bulletin, check your team google classroom, or scan the QR code on the flyers around the school. The deadline to sign up is April 1.

If you would like to help organize, feel free to attend our GSA meetings on Wednesdays March 4, March 18, and April 8. Meeting attendance is not required for participation.

For 8th Grade Students -
Auditions for the M3 touring and modern band ensembles at Abington HS are underway. Auditions include considerations for vocals and instrumental performance, and round one video submissions will be due by April 3.
All necessary details and submission information are available on our Google Classroom using code "v45d3dz5" or using this LINK.
This nationally-recognized program features consistent performances across the greater-Philadelphia region and performs alongside top-tier talent on a regular basis, as well as work in studio recording original music and covers. Plans for next year include continuing to record new music projects as well as potential for another touring experience.
