All students and staff! Red Ribbon Week is a nationally recognized week celebrating your choice to live a drug and alcohol free life. This year’s theme is “Life is a Puzzle, Solve it Drug Free”  and our celebration begins on Monday, October 27th! Wear red on Monday to send a message to yourself and others about how much you value yourself, your overall health, your community and your future.  During the announcements all week, you will learn more information about Red Ribbon week including ways to support living a healthy and drug free life. We will wrap up Red Ribbon week on Friday, October 31st and celebrate being drug-free.

This is a reminder to all 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing basketball this winter. 7th grade tryouts are next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and 8th grade tryouts are Thursday, Friday, and the following Monday - November 3rd. You must be cleared in order to try out. If you or your parents have trouble with getting clearances handled please contact the health suite.

The cost for this event is $8.00 - 
put the money in an envelope with your FIRST & LAST NAME AND GRADE LEVEL.

You can sign up at the following locations:

  • TADA Office (Room 363A) - the door to the TADA office has a locked dropbox that you can put your envelope in at any time of day.

  • Room 217 - during the Advisory / Workshop period

Today's book of the day is called Savage. After his father dies and the town bully Hooper begins to target him, Blue starts to write and illustrate a graphic novel full of blood, guts, and adventures; but after one of Blue's characters pays Hooper a nighttime visit, Blue starts to wonder where he ends and his creation begins. Savage is written by David Almond.

Any 7th or 8th grade student, male or female, who would like to join the wrestling team for the winter season should attend an interest meeting on Wednesday, October 29th in room P102 after school at 3:00. Interested students should also join the Google classroom with the code 6Q2EHACL
