The McKinley Elementary garden brought a bountiful harvest of colorful blooms this year, and an abundance of sweet summer strawberries! Students enjoyed the fruits of their labor, and learned about caring for their plantings and about the ecosystem of their garden pond. #SummerinASD

#SummerinASD: Willow Hill Elementary rising 5th grader London Green took the Auto Train down to Florida for two weeks! The first stop was Fort Myers to visit her cousins, then onto Disney World and Animal Kingdom for the first time ever!
#SummerinASD: Nick and Alex Boscaino (entering grade 8 at AMS, grade 3 at Copper Beech) visited the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh. They learned about ancient Egypt and saw gems, minerals, and dinosaurs, including the first T. Rex specimen ever discovered.

ASHS future senior, Nicole Chen, is spending a week in the St. Joseph University physics lab. Students and teachers from across the country are researching problems from the International Young Physicists Tournament. Nicole's team is studying a friction oscillator. #SummerinASD
