
In May, Roslyn Elementary hosted their third "No Place for Hate" activity in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. Each class was asked to read and discuss "Stand in My Shoes", highlighting the importance of empathy and "Being Kind to your Mind". #ASDProud

Abington Senior High School 10th-12th Mandarin Chinese students recently had the opportunity to attend a Mural painting and history workshop in Philadelphia. #ASDProud




Congratulations to Jorga Davis, who won 2nd place in the Mordechai Anielewicz Creative Arts Competition 2024 at Gratz College! The competition invites students in grades 7 - 12 to learn about the Holocaust and respond by means of creative expression. #ASDProud

Earlier this month, Chartwell's chef TJ Gaetano held a Mood Boost demonstration at Highland Elementary, where he spoke about how what we eat can affect how we feel. Students sampled blueberry and balsamic with fresh thyme, a strawberry spinach salad, and watermelon avocado salad. #ASDProud

Parents and guardians are invited to complete the parent/guardian version of the surveys no later than Friday! Check your email for the link, or contact your school's principal to have it resent to you.

Due to maintenance issues, there will be a location change for the May 28, 2024 meeting of the Board of School Directors to the Abington Middle School Little Theater (2056 Susquehanna Rd). The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm. There is no change to the YouTube livestream.

Willow Hill Elementary School hosted cartoonist Jamar Nicholas last week, who spoke to 4th and 5th graders. Students had a chance to hear how he became a cartoonist, draw with him, and have a meet and greet as well! #ASDProud




Last week, Overlook hosted Holocaust Survivor George Marcus. 5th graders were captivated by Mr. Marcus' incredible story of how he & his family were able to escape Germany at the outbreak of the Holocaust.




Abington Middle School Stingray teammates recently took a field trip to the Camden Aquarium, where they had an opportunity to pet live stingrays! #ASDProud

Last week, the ASHS student-run A Cappella group, the Abingtones, performed a standing-room only concert in the Black Box Theater. The student-run group meets regularly during Lunch & Learn to coordinate voice and choreography, and even performed earlier that day at Lafayette Redeemer Senior Center. #ASDProud #ArtsinASD

It was a beautiful day for 5th Grade CommUNITY Day! 5th graders from all seven elementary schools gathered at Schwarzman Stadium to make new friends and compete in team-building activities. The Class of 2031 transitions to Abington Middle School in the fall! #ASDProud
