Middle school brings new opportunities, changes, and challenges. The AMS School Counselors are here to help students navigate these important years while developing the skills they need to be successful in middle school and beyond.

School counselors design and deliver school counseling programs that improve life-readiness and academic success. They lead, advocate and collaborate to promote success for each and every student by connecting their school counseling program to the school’s academic mission and school improvement plan.

The AMS Counseling Department will deliver a series of information sessions for parents and students. These sessions are designed to provide Middle School families with insights into best practices for academic, personal/social, and emotional success.

All sessions are virtual and will be recorded for future viewing by our families.

Each month the School Counseling Department will publish a newsletter called The Counseling Compass: A Guide to Supporting, Connecting & Navigating Middle School. They will be emailed out to families and linked here.
