The Abington Senior High School Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony was held on Wednesday, June 11 at Schwarzman Stadium, where 650 seniors walked across the stage to officially become alumni. One diploma was awarded posthumously.
The graduates amassed more than $9.5 million in scholarships, with 79 percent of the Class pursuing higher education, 2 percent joining into the military, and 19 percent going into employment or apprenticeships.
MaKaela Booker opened the ceremony with the National Anthem, and Valedictorian Maeve Hong and Salutatorian Anneka Anderson were the first to speak. This year's elected class speakers were Jessica Chacko and Maxwell Hayes. Abington Senior High School Principal Dr. Alice Swift also provided remarks, as did Abington School District Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Fecher and Board President Dr. Melissa Mowry.
A recording of the graduation livestream will be available to watch on the Abington School District YouTube channel. A photo recap is available here.
